DAAD Helmut-Schmidt Programme — Master's Scholarships for Development Professionals

The Helmut-Schmidt Programme (Public Policy and Good Governance) funds highly qualified graduates from developing countries to pursue a Master's degree at selected German universities.

The scholarship covers tuition fees, monthly stipend, travel allowance, health insurance, and German language course prior to studies.

• Bachelor's degree (minimum grade equivalent to German grade 2.5)
• Minimum 2 years of professional work experience after graduation
• Working knowledge of German or English (B2 level)
• Citizenship of a qualifying developing country
• Aged 36 or under at time of application

• Full tuition waiver at German university
• Monthly stipend of €934
• Travel allowance to/from Germany
• Health, accident and personal liability insurance
• Preparatory German language course (if needed)
